I've seen this series around the place too, but I have no idea what's going on because there are so many other vampire books. It's confusing.
I do remember 'P.C. Cast', though, because they've appeared on a lot of book covers with quotes.

This series deperetly needs a good sporking (though, it's probably impossible, since you'd kill yourself before making it to book four from the protagonists aweful fist point of view).

Surprisingly, I do like the vampire myths created in the series but everything else made me !RAGE! Worst series I've read since Twilight.

I saw this really interesting piece of Literomathmatics in the TV tropes WMG section for My Immortal. Here's how they proved it:

It is said that House of Night= Twilight + Harry Potter.
It is also said that Twilight= My Immortal - Harry Potter.

Thus, House of Night=My Immortal - Harry Potter + Harry Potter.
The Harry Potters cancel out and you get:
House of Night= My Immortal.
