[Here is a picture of mistletoe! Mitsuhide has drawn it himself; right now it fills the feed of the SFC.]
This is mistletoe; the shape of the leaves and the white berries make it quite distinct.
[His voice is soft; he understands why she would want to be on the lookout for it. He's had his own fair share of embarassing experiences, thanks to the plant.]
An odd tradition indeed. Luckily, I do not think it will be cursed to force us to kiss another, this year. Vatheon's curses rarely repeat themselves.
I'm afraid I can't help you there... Why, is it poisonous?
[He sounds completely oblivious, and that's because he is - if there has been any of this "mistletoe" around, he doesn't seem to have been affected by it.]
Really? Does it force them, or is it just traditionally expected for two people to kiss? [He strongly hopes that it's not the former. Tradition can always be broken under the circumstances, after all!]
[He thinks for a moment, then chuckles.] Well, either way, it sounds like a harmless prank. I don't blame you for avoiding it, though - personal space needs to be something that others respect, even if their aim is for fun, but I think some people seem to be oblivious to that.
Sure! It's this green plant that people hang up and when you stand under it and someone comes by you're supposed to kiss.
No one really treats it like a law though. I guess it's cute if that's your sorta thing but I don't really like it myself. I have a thing about who I first kiss after all.
[No shame in this. Besides. It adds to the charm.]

[And stand under every single piece as often as he can.]

You don't sound disturbed by it.

That's because I'm not.

Why? Is it being dangerous?

Really? Like... like fuckin' magic or something?

I... yes, that seems to be the case. Can you imagine? It might even be with a total stranger!

[He bows his head politely.]
You are welcome, in any case.

[She pauses as another video pops up on her feed, then looks greatly relieved.]
But it seems that was a curse this city chose last year, and that is not the natural state of the plant.

[Snort] Or have you only just heard about it?

I've only heard about it, but it's quite distressing. You know what it is, then?

It has white or red berries in it too.

[Zelda seems a little embarrassed about it, though.]
It's good to hear that it's not obligatory. Evidently, last year, the mistletoe was magical and actually forced people to kiss.
