[Hyrule field is... strange today. It is a pleasant day, to be sure, the sun shining and only a few clouds in the sky. Every few minutes or so, the wind seems to change directions. From the north... then from the west... south, southeast... It picks up suddenly when it does change directions, then settles back down to a gentle breeze

[A little ways away, Captain Viscen is taking a walk. A walk that is being interrupted every few minutes by the random wind redirection, because he knows wind isn't supposed to do that.]

Must everything in this land be contrary?

[Link's mind is wandering, and so he doesn't seem to notice the captain down the road. He's still waving the baton around, slower now, getting bored or getting lost.]

[One, two, three... one, two, three...]

[And the wind picks up, from the east.]

[Okay, really now. Viscen continues walking (in defiance of troublesome wind) and after a few minutes comes to the fence that Link is sitting on. Is there a connection?]

The wind is strange today, [He offers as a kind of solemn advice.]

Are you out alone?

[One... two...]

[Link's conducting slows to a stop as he gazes up at the grownup. Shiny looking baton he's got with him.]

[Who's this? He nods, but doesn't say anything.]

This should be interesting.

[four_foot_hero]

[Sure, changing winds can be fun. They tend to be less fun, though, when you're a shrimpy little kid and only very precariously balanced atop two stumpy legs.]

[Link is struggling a little against the changing winds, until they finally seem to....settle. He stops and looks around, confused by the sudden change in atmosphere.

..Did that mean he was closer to the source...?]

[Getting really close! Link can't see his double from where he's sitting, and so he continues to conduct in silence.]

[One ♪ two ♪ three ♪]

[four_foot_hero]

[Finally, he crosses over a tiny lip in the Field and comes nearly face-to-face with his doppelganger.]

Wah! [He jumps back in shock. W-wait, what was this? Another one, with the Wind Waker, too?

Just to make sure that he still has his, he draws it out-- yes, yes... everything belonging to him was safely stored in its proper place.]

[But then..]

Who... [Mmmkay, kid. Take a minute to get over the shock and awe.]

Who are you..?

[missingoutset]

[The silent melody screeches to a halt, Link's wide eyes falling on a near-perfect mirror of himself.]

...?! [Wh-what the...]

[The Wind Waker is still, and the breeze begins to die. A-another him?]
