[someone's pacing and muttering to themselves a little ways from the broken bridge he swears that wasn't his fault! The dull thud from nearby snaps him out of his reveries and he turns to see-

[Link hesitated in mid step on the plank, leaning a little to the right to both correct a minor imbalance and turn to face Keane. He grinned and waved one of his raised hands a little in greeting.]

If only. [He raises his left arm slightly, attempting to correct a dangerous swaying.] I have a feeling that'd be ...[And with a few quick, well-place steps and a last theatrical jump, he reaches the other side.].. easier than what I'm already doing.

[He studies Keane's face for a moment, finding residual unease.] Something wrong? This doesn't seem like the best place to think.

[there's an almost bird-like head tilt as he watches. This was interesting~ back, you memories, back I say! Claps a couple of times when Severs finishes his little 'act']

The fall would be shorter, for one. Though that probably takes some of the fun out of it.

[his head tilts in the opposite direction from before, and his smile widens] That's a bit of a silly question, it's always wrong here. [looks around] No, but I wasn't here to think. not really.

[He claps dust from his hands and removes a small splinter from his thumb as he listens.]

I can't blame you there. I'm not too fond of this place, either. [A last clap, and then he moves to stand beside Keane- facing the Gerudo Fortress in the mesa ahead. After a moment he inclines his head to glance sideways at the other man, and grins.]

Oh. So you were following me. [He teases, figuring that comment would be enough to get some semblance of the truth out of his companion.]

[It seems someone's watching you from the shadows, Link... Shadow feels a bit devious today, and is a bit tempted to try and startle Link, but he fights that feeling back. No...causing people to fall off of steep drops was not a very good thing to do.]

[So instead, he chooses to materialize and float next to Link in a very obvious fashion. There will be no attempted hero-spooking today.]

[Link bends with a sudden unexpected breeze, sticking out a foot to adjust his balance. Just as he's about to take another step along the plank, the shadow-boy appears.]

[He mutters a curse under his breath, and (very carefully) takes a small step back- crouching slightly to place himself in a more defensive position. This was the last place that he wanted to fight Shadow Link, especially after the episode in Kakariko.]

Attack me while I'm up here and you'll find out. [He says darkly, good mood immediately sullied.]

[Shadow frowns and crosses his arms, hovering over to face Link from the front. Well, that was a bit of an unfriendly welcome, wasn't it?]

I'm not going to attack you. Why would I do that?

[He hesitates, a look of confusion flashing across his face. That wasn't the response he'd expected- but it could also be a trick.]

You didn't seem to have any problems with destroying Kakariko. [He says, still with a note of bitterness, but more confused.]
