Stragegizing Like Woah!

[Long story short? Jewel's been kidnapped. Battle preparations are underway, several Heroes and other warriors have agreed to help, and Midna and Telma have been busily working on gathering intel to assist in the infiltration. Right now, anyone interested in joining the effort is being herded into the Kakariko Inn, there to await the arrival of ( Read more... )

[ooc: Of COURSE you're included! The list was just the people who'd already confirmed their involvement. Shad's setting up tables right now, so tag in when ready!]

[Shad feels almost like he's setting up for a party, except that the mood is hardly festive. He's cleared the space near the hearth, and has arranged the inn's two long tables in a sort of L-formation, as that seems to provide the most seating while taking up the least room. In an effort to be extra-helpful, he's made two additional copies of his map of the castle interior, which he places at intervals on the table for people to review. The last chair is in place, and he just hopes there's enough seating.

He's never attended a proper council of war before, but he imagines it will be somewhat like a larger version of the planning meetings he and Ashei used to share with Rusl, Auru, and their own Telma, before and during the Twilight invasion. With a small sigh, he calls out for the 'general' of the little army.]

Linksha? Everything's ready.

"Thanks, Shad." [*Sigh*... This place looks like it's trying to model itself after those inane war-rooms in the North Palace. All that's missing is a 20-foot map and miniature soldier and war machine figures! He always hated that... all these stuffy old nobles -- who think that being born privileged enough to make Squire at age 5 makes up for never seeing a day of real combat -- getting dressed-up and puffing their chests out, seeing who hollers louder and more forcefully, so their opinions will be heard... Screw the pomp and circumstance; he just wants Jewels HOME, and SAFE! His eyes keep being pulled back over to the hearth, where the two whistles dropped after the attacks are hidden. He GLARES at that spot, and while he's not particularly superstitious, he HOPES Ganondorf can feel Link's eyes boring into his back.]

[... He hopes the others will get here soon, so they can get the planning over with; he feels far too restless for his own good.]

[Those with sharp hearing might notice a faint, high-pitched ringing in the air-- but don't mind that, that's just the sound of matter being grated like cheese. Dark energy matter, to be precise.]

[Sure enough, a small stream of dark particles trickles down, seemingly through the roof and onto the floor. Within moments, they take shape. Ta-da! Looks like Midna and Telma are back (slightly behind schedule, but it's for a good reason, really!) from the castle town. It also looks like Telma's brought some goodies for the do-gooders. Mmmm, goodies. (That would be the aforemented reason.) And Midna's looking pretty self-satisfied, too:]

Heehee! Back! Miss me?

"Well, goodness! So many people -- good thing we came prepared, eh?" [Heaped high upon Telma and Midna's arms are trays containing several dozen meat pies. Telma figured, with poor Jewel gone missing, the fighters might just go hungry for lack of a cook! Judging by the sad, sad state of the soup bubbling pitiably over the hearth, she guesses she figured right.]
