[What an irritating report to hear from his monsters this morning. What is the idiotic purple sorcerer doing on top of the gates to his town? The King of Evil glares up at him from the ground. At least Vaati isn't cursing his gate. Yet.]

What are you doing here? You should know better than to come to Castle Town, Vaati. Go back to Kakariko. And while you're at it, tell those pathetic fools to pay their taxes.

[He hadn't been anticipating the King of Evil himself showing up, not that Vaati even knew who he was yet. But despite that, the powerful dark magic was enough of a hint not to screw with this guy. Not until he knew what he was dealing with, anyway.]

And who the hell are you, ordering around the Great and Powerful Wind Demon Vaati? [He smirked, cocky as ever.]

[Ganon squints. He has dealt with more than one version of the same person in this Hyrule before, but this could very well be a trick. The king has butted heads with Vaati in the past, but they have never actually fought each other before. Somehow, they always get distracted by philosophical discussions. So, Ganon does not know exactly how strong Vaati is, or who would win in a fair fight. Either way, he revises the politeness of his language, though he still has a nasty expression.]

I am Ganondorf, the master of Hyrule Castle and this town. If you are truly new to this world, I advise you to either join my cause or leave this place.

So this is Hyrule? [He swings his legs over the edge of the gate, taking a moment to glance around.] Hm. I suppose there are some similarities...

Well, Ganondorf. Sorry to disappoint, but I work for no one but myself! And I already feel quite at home here, so I see no reason to leave.

[There is little to see in Castle Town presently, but something has drawn Sheik back to the entrance of the city. She doesn't know exactly why she has bothered to return, other than the feeling it could lead to, perhaps, more answers about the nature of this place.]

[And then she spots the wind sorcerer standing above the gates. It's easy to sense the powerful magic he possesses, and so, she draws back carefully, debating whether to approach would be a good idea or not. However, after a moment, she continues towards the gates, masking any initial uneasiness.]

Greetings, stranger... Might I inquire your name?

Hm? [He looks down at the Sheikah, recognizing her almost immediately. Wasn't that Sheik?]

Don't tell me you've forgotten me already, Princess. And I thought you gave up on that poor disguise.

You revealed yourself publicly a few months ago, but perhaps I'm thinking of a different Princess. Ah, but in any case, allow me to introduce myself...

[He bowed from his high perch, not giving Sheik the courtesy of dropping down to her height.] I am the Great Wind Mage Vaati--a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
