After what seemed like an eternity in Darkness, light was seen in the distance. A bright piercing light that seemed to burn his skin, and yet, it was welcoming. Once the light dimmed a bit and his dim orange eyes focused, he realized…

“I am home…”

The desert. The valley. The home of the Gerudo's. The home of his people. A land that he once thought

[Link has been wandering across Hyrule, looking for people. As he wanders forlornly into the valley, he spots Ganon in the distance]

[ooc: YAY Ganon! :D Just so you know, I'm running on the assumption that for all the bad things he's heard about him, little goron link has never actually seen Ganondorf. Fun times x3]

[His reveling silent triumph was suddenly disrupted... But by what he had no idea. Regardless of nothing being visible to his eye, he was most certainly not hallucinating, and with his hand firmly wrapped around the hilt of his broad sword, his eyes scanned the desert... Nothing. Well, except for a rock. A talking rock... He scowled a bit, releasing his sword, and continued on his way. He doubted the rock was a threat...]

[undeterred by Ganon's apparent disinterest, Link breaks into a light (and slightly comical) jog to catch up] Hey![huff]Goro![puff]What are you doing here in the desert?

[Ganondorf sighed heavily before turning to the tag-a-long. It was a child. That much was evident. A child with parents who failed to teach them the legends of the Great King of Evil. But surprisingly, he did not lash out at the rock-creature. In fact, he replied calmly,]

"I am looking for someone..."

[having been transported to this Hyrule of his memories, Link has taken to wandering the land, reminiscing and trying to remember that which was taken away by Time]

[it was only a matter of time until he ended up in Gerudo Valley]

... It's changed so much.

[The tremor in the warm desert air was enough to make the King grin... He was near, he knew it. But perhaps it was too early in the game to go on a violent tirade to flesh out the nearing Hero... All in good time, he thought.]

[the hero stiffened at the sudden feeling of cold. He'd been forced to fight enough to know what the feeling entails and the new-found senses of a wolf helps determine the force as well... Link loosens the Master Sword and starts wandering deeper into the desert]

[Hi, this is Sheik following Link from an undetectable distance.]

[Far off in the distance, across the other side of the bridge leading into Gerudo Valley, hidden in the shadows, a lone Sheikah spots Ganon, red eyes wide and disbelief twisting in his gut. This... couldn't be. Didn't the Link he encounter say Ganon had been defeated in this time? Why was he still in Hyrule...?!]

[If the Gerudo King was still alive, Hyrule wasn't safe. Princess Zelda wasn't safe.]

[...Catching sight of Link ahead of him, Sheik narrowed his eyes. Couldn't the swordsman see who was in the desert? The Calatian wasn't safe, either.]

[The rock-child was a mild distraction...nothing more. He laughed. Suddenly, the desert was no longer deserted. Dull orange eyes scanned the plain of the desert once more... He was being watched, but by who he did not know. Whoever it was could not possibly be the Hero. But perhaps the little eavesdropper would be wise enough to alert people of his return.]

[He'll do just that -- Zelda being his first priority. He won't leave Link to fend for himself, though, should anything happen... Sheik remains in hiding, watching over the green-clad swordsman, hand at the ready over his dagger's sheath.]

[It was fairly difficult to break Ganondorfs cocky smiles. But something was different. There was never an aura he was uncertain about. But this one was something he was most certainly not familiar with. In fact, it was a sort of untapped power that he had never felt. But was this source an ally or a new type of foe? And should he oppose, would there be a way to channel this mysterious newcomer's powers in the Great Kings favor?]
