[He hears the telepathic call go out: "Hear me! I am held prisoner in Hyrule Castle, I am held within the central tower in enchanted sleep. Please, help me! Beware, the Castle is besieged by monsters...", and rushes to grab his gear and set out. He's never heard a telepathic summons, before, but he knows the newest Link's tale of receiving just such a call from his own Zelda. To his knowledge, Jewel only has some mild empathic abilities, but such strange powers ARE rumored to exist within the bloodline of the Royal Family, and this DOES sound like Jewel. He'd go even if it WASN'T her, but because it IS, and he's pledged to protect her, he merely shrugs into his gear and runs downstairs, yelling out to his stunned roommates, as he bolts past:] "Jewel in danger! N-not me...

[She manages this much as she grabs hold of him. The running -- in skirts no less -- has left her exhausted.]

Last time I wear this...honestly...it's not me! It's the other Zelda, the one who looks just like me but has blonde hair -- she's the one who called for aid.

[She sways a little, but no, there is no time. They need to act.]

We've got to get back to the inn...start warning people...Link, l-listen to me.

[She grips the front of his tunic and stares at him, momentarily allowing her fear to show.]

Ganon has besieged the palace. He's declared war on all Hyrule.

"G-GANON?! ... You mean FATSO?! The one with the dress that I got stuck in?! ... That IDIOT! There's over a dozen Heroes here, ALL of who are capable of whupping his butt, and he STILL pulls a stunt like this?! I swear, some people just have a DEATH WISH!"

[And then he realizes something.] "Waitaminute..." [He looks her over, suspiciously.] "How do YOU know this? ... DID YOU CONFRONT HIM?!" [He stares in horror.]

Help me back to the inn, dear, and I promise to explain everything. We may as well tell the others all at once; you might summon Vaati to join us. We have no time to lose, and the sooner we start formulating a plan, the better.

[There is a look in her eyes that he has never seen before. Without further discussion, they make their way back to the inn and in short order, she is seated at the dining table, drinking a mug of something hot while Shad and Ashei peer at her in consternation.

Jewel is strangely calm.]
