[Link wanders on in, carrying a map and the King's Gossip Stone charm. Seeing as the world he knows is dominated by the Great Sea, he's understandably very confused. As he's walking the charm in his hand suddenly lights up, and a deep voice pours from it.]

Oh! [looks Link over] Well, you do have a sword and a shield, goro. That might be helpful!

[four_foot_hero]

[Rapid nodding]

And you're wearing a green tunic. So enemies (if any exist, goro goro) might mistake you for Brother Link and be scared!

[four_foot_hero]

[Nods again! - Privately thinking to himself that the clothes were actually a bit uncomfortably warm on certain islands.]

[goronlink]

[oblivious] But if we go to Goron City, I'll have to find you a red tunic so the heat doesn't bother you, goro!

[four_foot_hero]

I've walked around lava before. Dragon Roost Island has a huge volcano with a cavern inside. It's okay! I'll be fine.

[He smiles.]

[goronlink]

Really? Wow, goro! Brother Link always had to wear the red tunic. You must have very tough skin! Like a real goron, goro goro!

[four_foot_hero]

[Can't help but smile a little bashfully at the compliment. His gaze drifts to his feet.]

I guess....

[goronlink]

That's right, goro!

[trying to encourage]Let's see. You're brave, and probably strong since you use a sword, and you have goron skin--you're kinda short, but every big goron has to start somewhere! That settles it. You'd make a great Goron, goro!

[four_foot_hero]

[Link was still a little shy, but he was comfortable with being prodded through the conversation. And just maybe- as long as it didn't involve changing shape - a little part of him secretly did want to be a Goron, too.]

[He smiled, getting an idea.] Once I get back to the Great Sea, I'll take my sister here and we'll come see your city!

[goronlink]

That would be great, goro! If you come visit us when everything is fixed and my dad is back, he can make you an honorary Goron, and you can be my sworn brother just like Brother Link!

In fact...[leans in close and whispers]If you want, you can be my secret sworn brother now...[leans away]Just until it's official, goro.

[four_foot_hero]

[Have some gaping]

O-Okay! [A pause, and Link lowered his voice, too, despite being unsure of exactly why they were whispering.] Do I have to do anything for that?

[goronlink]

[looks back and forth shiftily] Well, normally my dad would give you a super-big Goron hug, goro. But since he's not here [mumbled: and this is secret] we'll do the secret Goron brother handshake!

[solemnly sticks out hand]

[four_foot_hero]

[Expression growing as serious as the Goron Link, Link nodded. He slowly stuck out his hand as well, and grabbed the Goron's hand- it felt as rocky as it looked- and shook.]

[Once finished, Link looks up at the other Link.] Like that?

[goronlink]

[without letting go of Link's hand]Almost, goro! More like this!

[manipulates Link's hand into several nonsensical positions, then gives it a firm regular shake and lets go]

Now you're Brother Link! Goro goro! [thumps Link on the back in a brotherly fashion]
