[It's a quiet and balmy morning in Hyrule Field. Most of the trapped residents are sound asleep, dreaming comfortably in unfamiliar beds

[Captain Viscen randomly rotates shifts to throw off potential wrong-doers; on this morning, he happens to be working an early morning shift.
It is for this reason that he notices the figure in the distance from atop the Castletown gate. It isn't uncommon for him to walk the paths in the field on patrol as well, so he doesn't hesitate to climb down and walk out, leaving Castletown behind to investigate.]
[And so the Captain approaches Link, perhaps unobserved, but there is nothing overtly hostile in his manner.]
[His senses dulled as they are, the scraping of shifting armor is a sound that'd wake him from even the deepest sleep. He rubs an eye with the butt of his left palm and turns to face Viscen.
A member of the castle guard? It'd probably been months since Hyrule'd seen one-let alone Castle Town.]
[His insignia isn't that of the Hylian guards, though it's a detail Link might not notice at this point in his day. (It's more of a segmented circle than an eagle, oddly enough.)]
Good morning. [His head tilts ever-so-slightly.] If you seek a place to rest, you're likely to find haven in the village to the east.
I wish... [He frowns softly and withholds a sigh.] I'm waiting here for the guy who gave me this [He gives the spear in his right hand a lethargic wiggle] to come back. He's this tall Terminian....guy-I think he was human, anyways- if you've seen him.
[Sometime between nodding off and waking up again that strange green fairy you bumped into has reappeared.
Fluttering quietly (as quietly as a fairy could, silly shimmering sounds and all) around Link's head, it stops to inspect the javelin he's holding onto. Something must have happened if the other was so tired]
[Well, this is unexpected. For a second he could have sworn that he'd fallen straight into a strange sort of waking daydream. But, no- he's seen this one around before.]
[He breathes in deeply through his nose, and slaps his cheek a couple times in an attempt to wake himself up.]
You... -[Yawn.] ...You're pretty brave to be this far out from the forest.
*And there stood the shadow, under the protection of a tree from the sun. After some indecision, he decided to greet the hero. See how things played out, anyway.*
[He frowns softly, not liking this. But, as the Shadow Links in this Hyrule tended on the dubious side more than evil otherwise, he's willing to err on the side of civility.]
Well, you know what they say. Duty before personal comfort and all of that. [He yawns and, with his free arm, stretches.]

[letting a couple of seconds pass, it lands near the handle of the javelin. A curious noise before it takes flight again]

It's not mine... [He frowns.] Some guy just tossed it off on me three days ago and now I'm stuck here waiting for him to come back.
[He gives the javelin a bored wiggle, an action which somehow culminates into a dramatic sigh.]
I'm bored!
[Whining Grumbling, he flops down in the grass, and stretches out on his back. The javelin's deposited into the grass a foot or so away.]
