Something seems familiar about this...

[There is a stone statue in the deserted garden of Hyrule Castle. It is a depiction of a large man kneeling with an expression of exquisite pain and embarrassment on his face. There is a sword in the man's forehead that is not made of stone, almost as if the sword doesn't belong.]

[... ... ... that must be what we call literally poking fun, fffff. You can be certain he feels horrifically claustrophobic at the powerful goddess seeing him like this; his only response is a mental grunt:]

Hngh.

[Hang on a moment; we're still poking. After a few prods to his cheek and nose, she stalks around behind him and pokes his shoulders and back. Oddly, she seems to be completely ignoring the sword.]

Hnnn.

[Back around front, she crosses her arms and gives him a long, considering stare before breaking into a smirk. Then she's bent down and taken hold of the statue's waist, hoisting him up onto one shoulder and turning to tromp with him out of the garden. A walk would do him good anyway.]

[....!!!]

[This. Is. Not. Acceptable.]

[The feeling of powerlessness increases, choking him a bit. If only he could move, then he might have a chance of wrestling the goddess... but like this? He hasn't been carried since he was a small child -- seeing the horizon bob, out of his control, makes him want to destroy the entire universe, he feels so much rage. Ganondorf can't help his urge to threaten her.]

I am going to kill you, goddess or not.

pardon the late entrance, but WELCOME BACK! linkshaia August 9 2009, 22:36:30 UTC
[Rumors were right! No monsters! Telma tells there's been none in the town or market for several weeks, and she suspects the castle is clear, too. Linksha makes his way up the trail, sword in-hand just in case, and is pleasantly surprised to find a perfectly normal castle where he last last saw the gaudy, Gothic monolith that was formerly Chubbydorf's estate. No magma, no ash-choked sky, no smell of brimstone... This is turning out to be a good day, after all! Sword back in its sheath, he smiles and goes for a stroll, deciding to check out the gardens for a bit.]

"...What ...the ...heck?!"

[He approaches, stretching up on tiptoe. *Poke?* Stone... *poke-poke* Stone Chubbydorf... with a-- is that a replica, or the real Master Sword? He stretches further to just barely touch it, and immediately feels its power surge under his hand, eerily similar to the magical sword he always carries. Yep! It's real! A REAL Master Sword, stuck in this thing's head! Damned if he knows why, though...]

[There are waves of dislike coming from Ganondorf, wherever Linksha is touching the statue. The waves are pretty noticeable. They're more like tidal waves, actually, now that I think about it. About that size.]

If you pull it out, you'll soon learn why it's there.

*GLOMP* Missed you, bb! linkshaia August 10 2009, 00:20:48 UTC
[Did it just get colder out here? Linksha feels a chill... He spins around, automatically drawing his own sword at the sound of an UNpleasantly familiar voice, but when he turns, there's nobody there. He circles the garden for a bit but can find nobody. He can FEEL eyes peering at him, though. Could it possibly be that... was it that STATUE that talked?! (Wouldn't be he craziest thing he's heard of, living in Hyrule.) Well, statue's not moving, and he figures if it was like an Armos Knight, he'd already have been attacked. A supposedly-legendary mystical sword going to waste as decoration on some ugly, talking statue of an equally ugly wizard is certainly ODD, but not any business of his, so he shrugs and leaves the blade alone, guessing the Hero it belongs to will come claim it soon enough, and then maybe he can ask what the deal is.]

[He goes back and continues to examine the overall piece, poking and prodding playfully at the strange statue's forehead, listening out for further comments and idly hoping he can make it topple over. ( ... )

"What is this supposed to be, I wonder?"

[Why, Ganondorf, it's a statue that resembles yourself, of course. And that sword, it's a little familiar, isn't it? It could almost be a celebratory effigy of a defeated Dark Lord.]

[The stone Ganondorf observes but doesn't reply. He knows better than to broadcast his untenable position to a King of Evil. Only a matter of seconds before the other man's powers reveal the truth, at any rate. Why hurry?]

"Hrm."

He stood in silence, examining the statue for a very short time - by now he had learned enough about this place to take guesses at its nature, with or without his sorcery. Curiosity reached out to him, daring him to sate it at the cost of extreme pain.

He reached up with one hand and grasped at the hilt of the Master Sword. His expression did not change as the hilt burned through the leather and steel in his glove, but he winced as his hand burst into flames. The sound of his own flesh cracking and peeling and smoking was loud enough to be heard from very, very far away. Still, he began to pull, and to someone who looked closely enough, the sword began to move.

ahahah he's so badass...! old_man_ganon August 19 2009, 06:14:58 UTC
Slowly, the sword inched its way out of his forehead. Every inch was extremely painful to both parties -- the Blade of Evil's Bane was just as painful coming out as it is going in, and it burned like holy fire wherever it touched them.

As soon as the blade was removed, Ganondorf transmuted from stone to flesh. Vaguely embarrassed at being on his knees, he smoothly stood up and sheathed one of his swords. He held the other in his hand and gave his liberator a suspicious sneer.

"Ah... another doppelganger. What do you want?"
