Trying to write a 100 word (or less) letter of inquiry into a library job is a helluva lot harder than trying to write 5,000 words of a story where at least 95% of book one has been hand written already in notebooks scattered all over my room. But I still didn't get either one finished because I was driving all over the state of North Carolina (

Word counts are annoying! I hit the same problem when I originally applied to university and had to write two short essays. I realized quickly how I love to use words, and how cutting them out to cut down on word count made me feel like someone was tying my hands behind my back or something. Restrictive! So much luck.

(I'm so glad someone else liked Clash of of Titans. I went in expecting to not like it, but was surprised that there was more than just action in the movie. I actually did enjoy the movie a fair deal. And the horse used for the pegasus was so beautiful. I love draft horses!)

They're very annoying. I'd almost rather do page counts than word counts, because that's a little easier. Blarh.

I really enjoyed Clash, I thought it was a fun remake and the updated special effects was a lot of fun. And the Pegasus being a Fresian totally had me squealing with joy, they're awesome, awesome horses.

I never got to see the original..except for a very short segment from some t.v. special that showed some animation from the movie. Ah, kind of odd to think that stop-motion just was the way of doing things even a year before I was born. How crazy that a decade later computer animation would come onto the scene. I ought to seek out the original one of these days.

(Fresians seem very popular lately! I wonder if the horse in this movie was the same as Prince Caspian's horse. Hard to tell with the wings added on and lack of riding gear, but regardless, big black horses with sturdy legs are just gorgeous!)

You really should, it's very different with a totally different ending and a rather different story, too. It's not Hades who sets down the Kraken mandate, it's Demeter. There's a lot of differences, but the remake did have a nod to the original in the form of the mechanical owl that Perseus pulled out of the pack when they were suiting up to leave. I rolled. XD

(It could have been, but Fresians are one of those breeds where it's kind of hard to tell individuals apart because they're specifically bred to be solid black with no white, though sometimes a small star on their forehead shows up. But the bred ideals is solid black with those strong lines. I'm going to drool myself to death. XD )

Man, I know! It is SO much fun, and it just makes me happy by existing.
