This makes my geeky little heart burst with joy. I want to go back now and watch all of TNG, but I'd be sad because Gabriel and Castiel wouldn't be there.
I really like how you placed them in this 'verse but carried over the SPN aspects with nods to the family with their original personalities and their family's prejudices.
I loved that quiet moment they shared in the conference room and how Gabriel became the anchor banking the abyss of space to something fathomable.
This was a great snapshot of another universe and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I must say, I've never actually read any Castiel/Gabriel before, nor have I read anything to do with Star Trek - even if I remember days long past where an older brother would geekily refuse to hand over the remote and had to watch it.
But I must say, I really liked this, it was so... Full of emotion, layers under the words and then with space and the ship and Castiel's feelings and guh. Gabriel was- Gabriel was the more serious aspect here, rather then happy-go-lucky, Loki-by-another-name, snapping-fingers-for-candy kind I mostly see, but it made sense.
Either way, all that aside, very greatly enjoyed reading this. <3
(which was keyboard-mash-flail for: OMG I LOVE YOU AND THIS AND EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW BECAUSE YOU ARE BRILLIANT AND OMG I LOVE YOU AND MY LITTLE FANGIRL HEART JUST BURST WITH INSANE AMOUNTS OF HAPPINESS AND JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
