PSA: Opinion on S6

Note: I don't usually air my opinions like this, and I really want fandom to be a good, happy place for everything. I don't like having complaints about canon like this. But it's happened and I'm writing it out so I can be at peace with it later. Either way, don't expect too many posts like this, or I'll start dissecting all of Supernatural and

I started out being pretty okay with the season, based on the trolling, and the Gabriel/Zachariah Unholy Lovechild, but I am just getting incredibly bored now. :/ Why they gotta ruin a good thing?

I stopped watching at 6.06. Not because I hated it or anything, just that...meh. Didn't want to. And the spoilers I've been getting haven't really made me want to catch up. :/ I might try an epic catch-up in time for the season finale, but...yeah. Dunno how likely that's gonna be.

I'm still writing fic, but it's mostly either pre-series, set during earlier seasons, or total AUs. S6 may as well not exist.

That's fine with me - we get amazing fic outta S1-5, after all. (And if S6 does turn into gold in its final episodes, then I suppose we can catch up together? idk)

I agree with most of that - my only quibbles are that the meta episode and I didn't get along (it works in fic but on screen it hits all of my embarrassment buttons).

I rather like that idea - S6 is a sequel. Helps fit it into my headcanon a bit easier - lord knows I never accepted the Star Wars prequels as canon. X3;;

That's fine with me. :) I freely admit that I'm more of a S4/S5 fan as S1-3 didn't grab me the way those season did, but that's my own personal preference. (And lord knows we'd all write the apocalypse storyline differently, if we were the writers)

And either way, if SPN had known when to stop, it'd be golden. End at 5x22 and I'd be happy and we can fix everything with fic.

Ehh...I'd debate with you on that first point. But that gets into theological stuff and whatnot.

Oh, I won't leave you or this fandom - I'm definitely invested, just not in S6. I mean, most of the people here are awesome, the rp is greaaat and I get to debate theological issues on angels on good days. XD

(I also welcome S6 spoilers so I at least know vaguely what's going on...but it's more idle curiosity, not much else)
