Lolol. I have about 2.5k words so far. I like to keep them all 6-10k, and PLUS OMG THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF TO FIT INTO IT. You should see my revised timeline. It's ridiculous! I don't know how I'm ever going to finish this behemoth.
Excellent~ I think this is the first HP story I've read where I've been more interested in Ginny's bit than anyone else's. I really can't wait to see more about her.
O rly? You like Ginny the best? Voldemort = my favorite to write. (Which is weird because I'm not a huge fan of Voldemort stories.) Sometimes, I find Ginny hard to characterize. I spend hours thinking and mentally-rehearsing scenes over and over before I ever write them to try to get a feel for how the characters would react and what works the best, but Ginny's always been difficult for me. I think I'm afraid of making her Mary-Sueish, or, the extreme opposite: one of those vindictive, catty Ginnys.
I wonder if that's because she comes off a bit Mary-Sueish in canon...?
Anyhow, I love the way you write her! I think that all that reflection on the characters really shows in the story. I can't wait for Ginny and Voldemort to meet up. I'm on the edge of my seat for it!
Yay! An Update! My week is like 1 million times better already... and believe me, this week is going to suck... so thanks! Anyway, yet another great chapter and I was surprised by its appearance! I am glad to see things are moving right along with the plot. I do wonder what happened with Ginny... really can't wait to see how that turned out. So you'll just have to update soon. :) And now I must go to bed since I have to be up in 4 hours... and I shouldn't have read this until tomorrow, but I couldn't resist!
I've got the perpetual feeling Harry's getting into something he does not completely understand and therefore is prone to be shaken by the outcome in the future. But that's the fastest way to learn, and nothing gets done by waiting for things to become clear.
Harry never completely understands what he's getting himself into, if only because he's not capable of understanding the workings of everyone else's minds. He doesn't know what pitfalls to look out for all the time, but, really, Harry hasn't made such a terrible mistake so far. I think you'll find that in the future, the ones shaken will possibly come as a surprise.
oh, this is brilliant! I have SO much love for draco-and-snape scenes. so much. :snuggles them: ;)
also, i'm very sad about the abrupt end to my gobbling-up-chapters-at-a-time reading. something must be done. :grins: no, seriously, no pressure. i just wasn't expecting the sudden end. can't wait to find out what happens next!
Eep, so sorry it took me so long to get back to you! The next chapter is finished and being beta'd as we speak, so it should only be a couple more days. :D
