I remember hearing about this case a couple years ago, but at the time, I didn't think long on it because I assumed it would actually turn into a case, evidence would be presented (or not, if there was none) and a decision would be made. I was wrong about that.

I really don't think kids should be tried as adults, no matter how brutal the crime, so I will definitely sign.

I know. I think I saw a Law and Order UK episode that said it was based on that case. It's really frightening, but children that young absolutely should not be tried as adults, ever.
