Oh! So she is a teenager... I don't think it was nearly as terrible as you made it out to be. How funny though, I have a poem from frosh year with a similar theme and mention of Pollock.

I never could judge my own writing. Just imagining all of it and then describing it made me sick; but for all I know it could be almost light, comparatively speaking.

That is weird. Well, I doubt we have many other writing pieces that are similiar in that way. (Although I did base the beginning of one of my stories on a conversation we were having in LA.)
