contrast becomes important for me, traditional composition and focus, etc. do not
I hate it when people try to judge a photo using parameters, instead of just trying to understand what the photographer wants them to see and feeling the inherent quality of the photo. SpacePortraiture is a step forward, I think, I don't care if there are protusions, overexposed, underexposed parts in the photo if I can see what the photographer wants me to see.

Absolutely! In fact, that is what I am trying to achieve. I understand and agree to your points completely. I really admired your morning blur photographs.

Great to observe the evolution of your aesthetic sense!
Congratulations on starting "Space Portraiture". But I take back my congratulations now!
The reason being that what you are thinking about is nothing new at all. It is one of those old rules of composition, which u abhor.
It is called USE OF NEGATIVE SPACE. This principle is used extensively by artists, designers and photographers. It is just that you have discovered sumthing that you weren't aware of, but has been there always.
Having said that, I dont mean to discourage you. Its brilliant that you are gettin hold of nuances and finer details of art. But I would advise you, that you study fine art of painting in detail. It will help you tremendously!

I thank Suhail Naqshbandi for his comments. For people who don't know Suhail, he is an ex-cartoonist for a Kashmiri daily, painter, and BBC Photographer documenting Kashmir; and most importantly my mentor, at one point of time giving me photo lessons over Y!M :-). He lives and works out of New Delhi. It is great to have your point of view Suhail.
