It is such fucking bullshit how the news is completely silent about this - as are the trending topics etc. It's pretty bad in Seattle too from what twitter shows me. Bah. I may not be the biggest fan of how these protests have been marketed, but there is no excuse for this. NONE.

To clarify--it is not necessarily that I don't think you should go, just that going in the middle of the night just as police involvement started to get violent was possibly not the way to do it. I support their cause and do think risks have to be taken for change. I just, you know, worry.
