It had been awhile since her last trip to Gotham. It wasn't that she was intentionally staying away, but when she was on tour with her magic show, she usually kept pretty busy. Thankfully her tour would be coming to a close in a few short weeks, and she was looking forward to the break--even if it only meant getting an hour more of sleep at night

The manor look, as Bruce planned for it to be, built brick for brick the way he had been before it burnt down. It took a few years to get everything set, rebuilt perfect, but in the end it paid off. The pristine smell of new paint and wood were adamant even before the butler opened the door for Zatanna

Zatanna greeted Alfred with a warm smile, and followed him through the maze of corridors without hesitation. It was the first time she'd been at Wayne Manor since it had been rebuilt and though logically she knew she shouldn't be surprised at how similar it was to the old one, she couldn't help but marveling at its likeness.

Dressed in a pair of slacks and a red blouse, she thanked Alfred, as well before turning to look at Bruce, soft smile on her face. "I've been good. How about you?"

A little less formal now, Bruce reached to hug Zatanna, like old friends really should.

"Well enough. Quiet in Gotham for the most parts these days. Relishing in it while I can."

More like, being bored out of his skull, but the whole point of Batman was to bring serenity and peace to the hazardous city, so he can't really complain.

She hugged him back without hesitation, relaxing a little.

When she pulled away to look at him, she arched her eyebrows. "Really? You're enjoying the quiet?"
