A workday at the other end of the scale

My new client today turned out to be half of a lesbian couple, who live on a property at the end of a road 2km into state forest, and have four donkeys and a mule. Does life get any better than being paid to visit lovely people in picturesque locations with four donkeys and a mule? I had a blissful James Herriot moment. (And actually, I didn't ( Read more... )

I find it much easier to ask for money from a company than an individual, especially a nice individual who doesn't appear to have an extravagent lifestyle!

It's hard to judge that fine line between asking too much and letting yourself be taken advantage of. I always try to find out exactly what other people are being paid, which fortunately is usually easy as an accountant!
