He was interesting, and I have to give him at least a little credit for doing something he admits is difficult for him, and doing it over a long period of time (assuming he is in fact living as a monogamous married man).
There were a few questions, but I don't remember what they were. Nothing about sexuality.
Most of what he said sounded perfectly reasonable to me, if you accept that the Bible says homosexuality is wrong and you feel it's important to go along with that.
It didn't even occur to me to ask questions and I'm not sure what you could ask in that setting without being obnoxious.
With it being K's birthday and me being sick atm, I wasn't able to make it as planned either. It still sounds so very interesting! This utterly pings me as something wonderful to study :) I can see how you can relate it back into the human behaviour and the parodies thereof etc, not to mention all the discussion of how we monstorise things in order to work through them better.
The talk from Sy - it did sound interesting, but whilst I respect that people have a right to believe as they will - and I've just deleted what I originally typed - I'm sure you and those you went with are all aware, and as you said - the point was to see how the other side thinks/believes.
I can't help but wonder why folks like this fellow do not join gay-positive Churches rather than suppressing their natural desires in order to fit in elsewhere.

So you didn't get to ask questions? Why did a whole heap of GLBT people go, then?

Did people ask questions, and did he have reasoned responses?
