Christmas Holidays

I had a great Christmas break this year(s). On Boxing Day/Dec 26th I drove to Albany to spend some time with bardiegrub and shortblack while they were there. We stayed with bardiegrub's brother, who'd cooked a turducken for Christmas and needed help with the leftovers! I managed not to say anything weirdly fannish about it to him, but was delighted by the unexpected

Albany certainly has some pretty spots, I get down there twice a year usually for agility trials. Got a couple there in Feb.

And I have been liking all of checkthemargins fic right now. Even of pairings and premises I wouldn't normally bother with. Good fic to tide me over till next Saturday!!!

I don't actually have any really good photos of him, nothing like you have of your dogs! The ones in that post I linked to the other day are about my favourites. Or, wait, this one, but the quality is terrible. I'd love a good shot of him looking back at me over his rump against green grass, but in 9 years I haven't managed to get one and the window of opportunity for the green grass is small!

After you mentioned horses the other day I went window-shopping online and found a gorgeous leopard Appy in Queensland. I rung up about him this morning, but he was smaller than I like. Just as well.

I haven't read checkthemargins's non-Sam/Dean stuff, but I was really impressed with those two I mentioned!

Pretend to be sick on Saturday and get everybody else to go out without you?? No, I guess that probably falls into the category of addict behaviour requiring an intervention. My friend asked if I wanted to ride Sat and I was all, "No! I'm busy Saturday!" and then "Well I guess I could ride early in the morning. Or late. But I'm busy in the afternoon!" (She doesn't know about my TV obsessions.)

A good plan, only it's my sister's baby shower. Over 40 people turning up at 12.30. Heaps of prep before hand too. So NO CHANCE! :(((

I'm going to make a point of doing a lot more riding this year, both for App's health and fitness and also for fun. I haven't been making maximum use of having horses!

Those are fantastic pictures! I always feel that way about wind turbines, like they are an alien invasion force coming up over the hill. You look fantastic too!
