Soon I will be leaving for Ambercon Northwest for a week! People who might think about coming next year: the Summer Solstice 2011 is the time you need to decide.
Probably, though I prefer things the other way around when it comes to eating elder gods. But yeah, takeout from the pub sounds like possibly the way to go...
We actually GAIN an hour, which is extra yummy. (Fall back turns 3 a.m. into 2 a.m. all over again!)
If you do decide to bring a toaster, can you let me know? I am pondering bringing bread, peanut butter, and some sort of jelly that does not require refrigeration after opening, but the ability to make toast would be spectacular. :) Wishing we had an electric teakettle for oatmeal and tea, of course.

For heating water I'm using a $10 hotpot I got from Bed Bath and Beyond with a coupon for 20% off the $10... It's light. Just a plastic container around a hotpad.
For the past 3 or 4 years I've brought my hot water pot (3L) and left it plugged in at the Admin Lodge kitchen...Before then, I had a smaller one in my room. Being a tea snob, a hot water carafe that previously contained coffee is irrevocably tainted. I don't know if they just never rinsed them out properly, or what...
Also, the front desk usually has a dedicated hot water pot at most hours (mostly for tea, altho I'm sure you could fill a cup and just add your oatmeal).
