I just figured out that on Thursday to get to the con I have to get up at 4 in the morning. To ride a bus! To ride another bus! To ride a plane, which is Southwest leaving out of Oakland, which has a friendly coffee stand, so that's not so bad. Until they dump me at Midway!!! And then I ride another plane to Detroit!! Us Californians are close to the greatest Ambercon, Northwest, in Portland in November... Um... Nov 6-9 this year. Much better flight options. There are of course suave engaged thinking-on-their-feet gamers at both. I hope you do make it sometime.

Definitely! I'm rooming with Bolthy, among others, I think you guys are stalking each other, so we'll probably run into each other that way?

Friend in a high place, hmmm. I will try to think of something when I go over the games today. Without saying too much, part of the problem is there is scheduled to be a shock to the system in the near future, and many of the people in high places will be different for next year's games. But then, something like that might be great character material, too. Thought required.

Technically this years Dude is based on The Perfect Score. About a group of high school kids who, including a stoner kid, a goody two shoes, a jock, and a rebel girl, trying to steal the SATs. But Harold and Kumar is always a good watch.
