What I find fascinating is that there is no mention of this black-out on the internet. It is a quarter of our biggest city, and from what I could work out over the phone, it was that whole area without power...
Never mind, we are back with power, and very grateful for the fire, and getting on with getting better from horrible head-colds of doom.
Ack! The shadow-demon killed your power, too! Fear the wrath of the Red God! (and, no spoilers, but you're about to come into a really great run of episodes :)
Really glad that you managed to come through it OK, but that sounds pretty awful while it was happening.
It felt pretty awful - not sure how much of that was the horrible head-cold speaking. Really think this whole thing about sharing everything is over-rated when it comes to sharing colds - at least one of us should be well to look after the other!
And I'm really enjoying Game of Thrones. I haven't read the books, and am unlikely to, as I am a heretic when it comes to fantasy, and shy away from big thick books. (Which, when you think about how much I read, is rather silly.) I know not to expect happy endings, but the whole set-up of sets and locations and people are fantastically put together.
Brrrrr! We lost our hot water again, for the third time in six weeks - Ben had a very cold shower. We did, however, have all the wheat bags and hotties in the bed at night :)
Ugh! No hot water is horrible. Fortunately, we had enough for the first day, and by the time the water had gotten thoroughly cold, we were sick enough to stay home until the power came back on and warmed it up again! HATE cold water showers...
