Yesterday, I went out walking just far enough to get coffee, laugh with the few neighbors and strangers who also ventured out, cuddled up at home, watched a movie and worked on a crochet blanket

Oddly enough, I kind of appreciate the fact that being poor for a long time ... forced the slowdown. We couldn't afford to shop. We couldn't afford to travel. So the holidays became un-hectic by definition, because we had nothing to spend and nowhere to go
