Starscream drifted in to recharge; from one unfavourable reality to an equally unfavourable unreality - though as the attempted memory-purge continued, he wasn't lucid to his dream-state.

Drifting through space, the Seeker returned to consciousness only on occasions when roused by passing gravity fields, conserving energon by spending the millennia between star systems in voluntary stasis. Conserving sanity, too; the Seeker hadn't known it was possible to experience something so like claustrophobia in an environment where there was nothing but space - vast, crushing light-years of space, pressing in on him.

Parts of the journey were cut out by the use of the Spacegates - relics left behind by an ancient race, possibly tentacled - from which scientists struggled, even the advanced technologies of his own kind, to reverse engineer a way to make long distance space-travel a quick matter (he was sure that such advancements would have occurred shortly after he and Skyfire had left, just because the universe enjoyed irony).

Starscream was alternately thankful and irritated that his kind were long-lived enough to survive (and therefore bother with) such travel.

He experienced discomfort as gamma radiation reacted with the organometallic pigments in his derma-plating, releasing noxious gases that blistered under his paintwork.

A noise startled him, and he realised he was back in a detention cell in Iacon, and had slipped in to light contact with the energy barrier.

A disinterested voice spoke; "Seeker, designation 'Starscream' - move away from the entry, and prepare for court."
