One difference between Decepticon-commissioned and Autobot ships was the relitive distance between the repair bay and the brig. In the Ark, the brig was largely an afterthought, added in case a crew member were to turn criminal, or, more honestly, in case one of the expropriated military models in Iaconian service got a couple of nuts loose - the med bay was primarily in place to satisfy OH&S. On board the Nemesis, however, nobody thought it was strange to have the repair bay and brig conveniently side-by-side, because it could be well assumed that any crew members being sent to the brig would need to visit the repair bay first, and that any outsiders being kept in detention would probably need it before too much longer, anyway.

Thus it was that Thundercracker managed to remove his recently-repaired air-commander back to his cell with relatively little difficulty, in spite of the fact that Skywarp had declined to help, on the basis of... something that hadn't made all that much sense, really.

Earlier:

"No, you're wrong. Completely, utterly, and always wrong." Spoke the shrill, distincive voice of Deceipticon 2ic and Air-Commander Starscream, Terror of the Firmament, and (once) Prince of Vos.

In spite of the fact that this particular mech was likely to speak to any of his subordinates with similar words, it was an easy bet for any of those who heard him say it that it wasn't a subordinate he was speaking to - because even if the tone of voice didn't give it away, the bang and the pleading that followed it would have.
