Oh dear, we're going to have to suffer another ELEVEN MONTHS of leaks, rumors, retractions, plot hints, etc etc etc????
I used to remember a time when studios released films, you went to watch them and everyone was happy. Now they are events with year long build ups and fan sites and puzzles you are meant to solve across a dozen sites hidden on the interwebs and comics and animations to read and watch or you might possibly miss out on all the back story.

I only posted the teaser trailer, geez. :D
The movies in question never really warrant all that hype, anyway. I'd even argue that it's counterproductive, because by the time the movie premieres, expectations have risen to impossible heights.
Forget the Star Trek trailer. Check out the Diary of the Dead trailer. For the first time in three years, I want to go to opening night of a feature film in an actual theater.
You know, I have to respect the fact that Romero got Tarantino, Stephen King, Guillermo del Toro and even Simon "Shaun" Pegg to do voiceovers. It's a nice little thrill for me, as a fan of the genre.
I know. I still get a giggle out of seeing "Uncle Bob" Martin, the first editor of Fangoria, as one of the zombies in Day of the Dead and Tom Savini's revival of his character "Blades" for Land of the Dead. Little touches, ones that don't affect anyone's enjoyment if they have no idea what's going on, but a lot of fun for those of us who Understand.
Years ago, I dated someone whose younger brother *loved* the Batman cartoon. Obsessed over it. Had them all on tape. Watched them incessantly. I was sitting in their living room one day and recognized one of the actor's voices: Richard Moll. I spotted his name in the credits after the show ended.
Hold onto your hat. He's playing Bones McCoy. I can't see it.
Could be. But I read somewhere that the official Trek website was supposed to have this trailer up today, in time for its premiere in theaters before Cloverfield.
The warp nacelles look much larger and closer to the saucer section than I remember from the original pre-refit Enterprise, which makes me think this is going to look slightly different. Can't wait--for some reason I really dig those huge Boeing 787 turbine warp engines. It reminds me of the Enterprise-C from "Yesterday's Enterprise."
IESB.net has a cameraphone screening of the trailer. It's very hard to see for the most part, but what you can see looks boss.

But that won't stop me from posting trailers. :)

I don't mind trailers, if they actually do something more than say "oh hai, we can haz film soon".
This sort of bull hype machinery just turns me off.

As it turned out, a surprisingly long list of recognizable names did voice work for that series and several others. Who knew that so many sci-fi show leads and guest stars had such thriving voiceover careers? Aside from the Simpsons, of course....

One more thing: I don't think this was an accidental leak. We are after all talking about the guy in charge of "Lost," which is full of red herrings.
