OOPS HAVEN'T POSTED MUCH THIS MONTH December tends to be busy and I've mostly been spending it working on stuff or playing games every and then while feeling like I should be working on stuff. It doesn't really feel like Christmas to me... feel sort of detached from it all. I've been watching Christmas movies and stuff to try and get more into the

You seemed very tired lately. Please, rest as much as you can!
I guess 2023 was kind of a rough year for a lot of people. Well, 2024 is promising at least. And the next two chapters of Deltarune will come out, yay!
About movies, have you watched Tokyo Godfathers and Klaus?
I'm still crying over Handplates though. That was such a strong pillar, something you could always count on and keep HoPe T_T.
These Tower Rooms was a nice way to make a round-up for a year: all the fandoms, games and fics you're familiar with.
Just came here to wish you HEALTH, ENERGY and MOTIVATION in the next year. Keep being passionate and creative as you are, you're inspiring many people!
Happy New Year, Zarla! ☃

Ahh thank you, haha. And I'm excited for the new Deltarune chapters :D
I haven't seen either of those! Although I've heard a lot about Tokyo Godfathers. :O I should really sit down and watch those sometime...
It's still strange for me for Handplates to be done! I'm not sure if I'll ever get used to it... it's still in that weird half-space where it feels done but not done at the same time...
Haha someone called it the Zarla lore which was an interesting word for it but not wrong I suppose. |D
And thank you! <3 Well wishes to you too, and happy new year!

Tokyo Godfathers is a legitimately great Christmas movie.

I know The Room is the title of the fourth Silent Hill game but I always think of Tommy Wiseau. Pyramid Head is tearing him apart! Literally.

"Oh, Thepu Maman!"
I love these little rooms!! How long do these typically take to make?

It depends on how complex they are! The Pumaman one took a bit because I had to set up a repeating background, but little ones like Edgar and Scri talking were easier because it was only really one thing moving, Scri's mouth. When they have a lot of moving pieces, like the Heavy/Medic room, it actually doesn't take too much longer since each little piece is so small, you just have to scatter them across the timeline in a nice staggered way, haha.
The backgrounds can be very tricky for some. The one with Zanthia was REALLY complicated, mostly because I was replicating a very complicated background on a much smaller scale, haha. Medic's lab also took a while because I had to reference it from shots in Meet the Medic, and the computer for Super Metroid was also rather tricky. In other ones though it doesn't really take too much time at all... the Utena room or the Vargas room were both rather quick since their settings weren't too involved. But it's fun either way! Doing little pixel things like this is kind of meditative...

That's really cool!! It's honestly surprising what can be accomplished animation-wise by just moving a few pixels. The Metroid one for example feels very alive and active, even though "technically" only a handful of pixels are shifting around. That kind of precision is so interesting!
