Boy, the last two weeks have felt like two years, haven't they? I don't remember ever feeling like a month lasted this long before. I've managed to avoid going out almost entirely except once, and I was careful when I got back home, but still, it's nerve-wracking now. It's a struggle to try and keep myself from freaking out about it all or what'll ( Read more... )

It's not stupid. Having something to look forward to is always important, whatever that 'something' may be. At one time, when I felt like there was no point even bothering getting up out of bed in the morning, I started leaving a thermos flask beside my bed in the evenings. Inside, I tossed some tea leaves, tea bags, maybe a few slices of fruit or a couple of berries - whatever was on hand at the time, and then I filled it up with hot water and shut the lid tight. The idea was that each day it tasted different just based on what I happened to toss in the previous evening. My thermos flask was somewhat old and let a lot of the heat escape during the night, but it was still a pleasantly warm drink to wake up to. It's really interesting to read your thoughts on Steven Universe. I actually just finished bingeing the whole main series and SU future. I had only watched season 1 a long time ago, and decided to give the rest a chance since it seems to be over now. Since I watched it over such a short period of time, I didn't get too emotionally attached. But with everything going on in the world right now, I did tear up on more than one occasion, especially with how much trauma and feeling the need to fix everything around you are explored in Future. It's really awesome it was there for you in such a difficult time <3 ( ... )
