I really worry about the Lucas amiibo... Each new wave has become harder and harder to obtain because people realize how lucrative scalping is. On top of that, more people are scrambling to get new amiibos they don't even care about because "if I don't get it now, I'll have to pay a scalper if I want it later." Everyone is trying to preorder as soon as possible.

The only REAL way to avoid this whole thing is for Nintendo to make A WHOLE LOT of each amiibo. Ones like Mario and Pikachu aren't scalped because there are so many. Lesser-known characters get bought out quickly. Lucas is really obscure, so Nintendo won't make many at all. It's going to be Ness all over again unless Nintendo gets their act together. I don't see that happening, to be honest. :(

Once Ness releases FOR REAL, you can probably import him from overseas at around $30. Not too bad, considering. Seems like only the US gets screwed when it comes to stock levels. Olimar and G&W will probably also be low print rares. The whole thing is a mess.

my local gamestop has a little amiibo section and it seems like the big hitters are pretty well stocked, like Mario, Pikachu, DK, Luigi, that kind of thing, but I haven't seen any of the other odder characters. I heard Marth is a nightmare to get. :O

Yeah, that Samus amiibo really is awesome - and armoured Samus not having to change into Zero Suit when final smashing is rather handy.
Yes, I have one. And Link, Kirby, and Pikachu, because I'm nothing if not predictable.

Little Mac's great if you can keep him on the ground; he's got like no air game or recovery. Megaman's big thing is that you need to get used to his regular combo being a stream of bullets - and a lot of his stuff involves projectiles. Both are interesting, though.

Yeah, Steven Universe sure is a thing. Roommate has fallen into some kind of weird fandom support group, except the opposite of that thing. They are mutual enablers and destroy each other's sleep schedules in ungodly long art streams where they talk trash ships and OCs until everyone passes out.
Some of the OCs are pretty cute though :V

I've barely touched Smash, but it plays fine. I like Pac-Man because he is basically Yoshi Egg Roll except in the sky, forever. It's terrible and everyone hates me. Really though, it's just really Brawl as heck. Friends I play with have a giant fucking TV and I still can't see my tiny-ass three-pixel character on the larger stages. Not winning the Best Smash Ever title by a long shot but it gets the job done. I did have loads of fun playing BA-BA-BA-BOWSER, who I rarely touched in previous games. He is a big stompy asshole and I love him and I'm glad he's fun to play in this version :D
