oh WOW. Sad, but part of me's just so fascinated by how they each take the change. Since it is, effectively, a terminal illness/body horror/fast acting cocktail of angst and pain.

I KNOW RIGHT i love putting characters into horrible situations and seeing how they all react to them. THE APPEAL OF TRAUMA CHICKEN

so many opportunities for angst with a zombie apocalypse, haha

There's one you haven't hit upon yet. those lone!survivor images you occasionally post and put a tiny backstory for? Yeah, I'm picturing that as a DIRECT result of the rest of them, one by one, succumbing to the virus.

I ACTUALLY WAS WONDERING A LITTLE ABOUT THAT although it'd be a long road to go with each of them dying. Once one of them goes, they're a bit more up on what's going on, although shooting each other is still so hard to do. I imagine if Smoker or Hunter got sick after the other died, they probably wouldn't even fight that hard against it. What's the point. :<
And without Charger it'd fall to one of them to shoot the other, which is a hard thing to do. D: They may increasingly survive or wander off by themselves as they whittle down their numbers since it gets harder and harder to shoot each other.

Oh god this is the saddest thing. Not even kidding. Poor Charger, always having to do the bitter work... but no one got off easy here, huh. She's pretty much my favorite and seeing her break down here is just... goddamnit.

It's a heavy burden she's taken on herself. :<

What really gets me in this is that Charger winds up being the executioner in every scenerio. Heck I figured if they'd been running around for a while before any of these happened at least Smoker would've opted to end it herself. Especially since in a few instances you've had her mulling over dying of cancer anyways.

Still very well detailed and played out. *sniffles*

Oh hey, that's a good point! Haha somehow that didn't occur to me somehow.
It's true that Smoker sometimes thinks about how she's going to probably get cancer, but still believes that it won't really happen to her. So distantly considering it is different then knowing for sure you're going to die in like an hour. D:
Although I do wonder if she could go through with it, if she opted for it? Shooting yourself isn't easy. D:

Note to self: wait until getting home before taking downers like this :<

On the immunity stuff: it is quite possible to be immune to some viruses but not others. Just as an example, in Europe, a gene arose in some of the population that made its bearers more resistant to Black Plague. It's been discovered recently that the same gene gives a high resistance to HIV. It doesn't make them immune to illnesses altogether, though.

Haha considering what they're going through, them getting colds every now and then probably wouldn't be that unlikely.

HEY ZARLA

HEY

HOW ABOUT SOME HAPPY LITTLE THOUGHTS

BETTER OR WORSE IF THEY ALL SUCCUMBED SIMULTANEOUSLY Y/N

(would they be able to go through with a suicide pact or wind up going infected FOR EACH OTHER)

WHAT IF SPECIAL INFECTED WEREN'T MINDLESS

(a variation on the original 'smoker and hunter get infected' scenario where it turns out they're partially resistant, enough so to retain at least some of their personalities even as they're physically mutated AND DRIVEN TO KILL)

I ACTUALLY SORT OF CONSIDERED THAT if they all got sick at the same time, although it'd be such a total mess if they did, everyone dealing with their own changes and trying to deal with the others. Jockey's mind going first would be terrible. D: And if Charger's arms went too quickly, she actually wouldn't physically be able to fire a gun anymore, she'd need someone else to do it for her. D ( ... )
