I think this icon is pretty appropraite for Sierra games. :D Although Jesus, these things are even more punishing than I remember. They sure don't make 'em like this anymore!

Heehee, random arcade game in the middle of nowhere. Awesome.

Hey, have you ever seen Adventure Games Live? I've been playing these things for years, and while they're not as SADISTICALLY MEAN as Sierra games, they're pretty good. I think you might like them!

Still don't get Ulence Flats. I'm gonna keep repeating that to myself until I get it. D:

Hahahaha that icon is awesome. :D THEY SURE DON'T and man, this isn't even the worst since it's still got an icon interface. Now SQ2 or KQ2 or 3, that's when things start getting reeeeeeally nasty. 8D

Oooooo I'll have to check that out. :D

TRY SAYING IT IN A DIFFERENT ORDER 8D

Wow, these games are remarkably graphic, especially for the time period. AWESOME.

I would've been stuck forever at those tentacles...well, no, I would've been stuck for as long as it took me to meticulously cycle through every item I had. BUT STILL. Kind of fuzzy logic, if you ask me. I don't see why you can't just be its friend :(

Stalagraped, snrk~ I bet there's a fic for one fandom or another where that actually happens.

I love that you can LICK EVERYTHING IN THE GAME. So many more games would be so much better with that option. Except, y'know, Silent Hill.

Oh man, that drop maze must be such a pain in the ass. I hate those enough in games where you can take more than one hit, I can only imagine what it's like in a Sierra game. Ick D:

Can you die of thirst if you kill Orat by throwing your water at him? All signs point to "yes", but I'm curious if it's ever happened to you.

ONWARD, FOR GREAT JUSTICE! :D oh man, I need to play Trials and Tribulations. After Mother 3.

WOOOO more Space Quest! :D

Hey, conspicously pixelated things against an otherwise handpainted background! LET'S GET EM.Oh, hey, I didn't even notice that. :B I guess it must be easier to do it that way ( ... )

Haha, yeah. If something's conspicious, shines, stands out, or seems more pixelated than anything else, it's probably important. This really was useful for some of the older games because sometimes they gave you NO HINT that it was an important item, other than you had to be looking REAL carefully for it. Ah, Sierra games.

Does it? That actually is probably because of the soundcard they used to record it. If I remember right it's recorded with the Roland MT-32, and generally SQ tends to default to a Soundblaster card for me when I set the sound settings, and the two do sound pretty different. :O

I WOULD TOTALLY CLIMB SOME BONES

THERE ARE TENTACLES IN SQ4 TOO BY THE WAY 8D

You know I never really thought of that before. :O Just random traps for no reason, haha.

Hee, I can totally see Roger wearing an airconditioned suit just cause he's lazy. Hee.

Ohhhh, yeah. XD They train you to PICK UP EVERYTHING OMG and then they'll do something like the unstable oordinance... doesn't that explode if you try to take it with you? I know you get points for putting it back, anyway.

Oh, right. :O I think you did mention that, actually.

THEY'RE SO KNOBBLY IT WOULD BE AWESOME :D

I figured there would be! :3 I'm sure there were some in both SQ2 and SQ3, sooooo....

Maybe there are no authorized personell! And it's one of those questy things tests.

Hahaha yeah! It totally blows up about two or three screens away, I think. :D I'm trying to think...I'm not sure if that's the only thing that'll screw you over if you pick it up. Hmm...there might be a few things in QFG that you can't touch if you're thiefin about, but that's the most extreme example of a haha DON'T PICK THIS UP HAHAHAHA MESSING WITH YOU moment for SQ. Heh. They do warn you not to mess with it though.

Ah, tentacles. Ever present! Hee.

"It's a good way to get that nose job you've often considered"

Hahahaha!

Yay, the drips! XD I can still hear him crying, "I'M MELTIIIIIIING!" Fun times.

Hey, I didn't know you could lure the spider droid into the Orat's cave!! :O What happens? Do they kill each other?

ULENCE FLATS

OH MY GOD, I GET IT!! I would never have noticed that had you not pointed that out!

YES YES I love the random little sound effects. :D And the Goofy scream when he touches the acid, hee hee.

You can indeed! And they just blow each other up, basically. I usually do that when I can, but I just got lazy this time. :B

I KNOW I TOTALLY DIDN'T PICK UP ON IT EITHER until I think I read about it on some trivia site.

Is it lame that I spent 3 or so minutes thinking really hard on why Ulence Flats was so funny? D: Hee~ you make me want to play these games to see what Doom II and Spear of Destiny smooshed out of my youth.
