So I was discussing my job with a friend, and talking about how I was the only one in my management chain who was here at work all week, and I've come to realize that my job is the fucking pyramid.   Explaination:

Apprentice Foster:  I work the Lab and manage the lab techs.
Regent Kim:  My boss.
Lord Mark:  Her boss.  Team manager
Pontifex Bill:  His

I figured that out for academia too, it works out rather well!
Undergrads= acolytes
Grad students= apprentices
Professors= regents (they manage grad committees!)
Dept. Chair= Lord
College Dean= Pontifex (ie College of Agriculture)
University Pres. or Provost= Councilor
Tremere no longer exists (shh!)
