Jensen put the green salad into the refrigerator, next to the marinating porterhouse steaks, and then turned the oven on to preheat.
He checked his watch. Jared should be home any minute. A moment later, two yipping dogs with madly wagging tails bounded down the hallway and through the living room, jostling to beat each other to the front door.

I loved seeing Jared and Jensen's relationship grow from friendship to something more; how they shared their pasts, and helped each other through difficult times.
Thank you for sharing :)

I'm so happy to hear that the technical aspects were enjoyable and that the 80s feel came through okay. Glad you enjoyed the relationship aspects...that definitely wasn't in the movie! :D
Thanks so much for reading and commenting. :D

I thoroughly enjoyed your thrilling story!!
I’m more of a slow reader so I figured it would take me a few nights to finish this, but there was no way I could stop reading this fast-paced fic so I just kept going straight through to the end.
This story really lived up to the fantastic artwork……or is it the artwork that lived up to the fantastic story……whatever, BOTH were great!
Unbelievably I never did see the movie but I always heard it was terrific & your version sure lived up to the movie’s reputation.
Very entertaining & action-packed & I LOVED your J2 pairing here!! Jared & his “pretty, pretty princess” were perfect together!
Thank you for writing this!

Deb's artwork is just stunning. It always is, but this is one of her favourite ever movies, so I knew that she would absolutely knock it out of the park this time! And boy oh boy, did she ever! I can't tell you how thrilled I am to hear that you think the story is on a par! :D
Thank you so much for reading and for taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. :D

Also, I loved the line about how Jensen thought it was so cool to have a phone you could take anywhere. Ah, the 1980s! :)

I remember going to see Lethal Weapon at the movies back in the day and being blown away by them having a phone in a briefcase! Wow. Imagine a phone you could take anywhere! Jensen's reaction is a mirror of mine! Ah the 80s! :D

Oh yes, I remember that! My dad had one for work, and I, too, remember thinking that was so amazing!
