Maybe, when your hero showed you his vulnerability; when he showed you that he was scared, flawed and only human; maybe you let him. And maybe afterwards you showed him that you loved him and understood him by letting him keep his dignity. Dean had done that for their father; with hindsight and an adult perspective, Sam understood. It was only right that he should do the same for Dean.

Lord, I love smart, compassionate, care taker Sam. I'm glad Dean was too drunk to tell this story.

Me too. I love the boys being there for each other! I don't think tomorrow's gonna be pretty for Dean! :)

This was very good I thought. I *loved* how Sammy was taking care of Dean this time. I love how Sam was going to let Dean save face for snuggling and lying in bed with his little brother. That's a very tender, beautiful and deep moment that, I think, would actually happen to them. Very well done. Extremely sweet.

Oh yay! Yes, I love Sam taking care of Dean. And no matter how much the little brother in him might want to tease and stir I can see Sam letting Dean save face and Dean being quietly grateful for that! [And then they can both wander across LJ into one of your stories and Dean can, um, *show* Sam how grateful he is!!! :)]

Awww, such a good little story. Very tender, very true. So much broken things between them, and I so wish that we'd have seen something like that on screen.

Oh me too; sadly CW is not brave enough to show Sam and Dean cuddling in bed...even platonically!
