Oh man, I don't like the idea of Sammy being alone with Gordon! Dean's right to be worried. And I can't tell if I trust Jo or not. Is she setting Dean up? I loved how Dean conned the school so little Sammy could attend. I also love how the boys have their own place. But come on boys! Is this where you learn that nothing good comes from you two being separated?? You are such a great writer. I've noticed you have other fics that I also need to read. It's a Zara Zee week for me, I guess! Which means YAY!! Ooh, I'd also like to thank you for the brotherly moments in this chapter. Delightful! Dean setting Sam's shoulder, Dean getting fiercely protective and angry when Gordon hurt Sammy, the codependence line, the fact that Sam has a hard time sleeping when he can't hear Dean breathing and needs his arms wrapped around him, the "get off me you huge f*cking girl!" Lmao! I know this is a gen story and those things aren't slash in any way, which is just fine to me cuz I seriously love their brotherly codependence and affection with each other ( ... )

Okay, so I have a huge thing for the boys being brothers, especially for them tending each others injuries and (platonically) sharing a bed! So I love to get one or both of those elements into my stories at some point! I love, love, love protective Dean and I also love protective Sammy. I too love their brotherly co-dependence and affection with each other and while I love a good wincest story, for me that brotherly connection will be the thing I always adore the most! If you have a look at any of my other stuff, check out the story I wrote Trece for her birthday. It was my first foray into wincest (so I had to go fuck-or-die trope cuz I didn't think I could do anything else justice!) :) I only posted it to my journal so not many people have seen it ( ... )

Ok, so...Caz phrased this wrong, below. She says I have a huge thing for them being brothers...sharing a bed. What she meant to say is: I have a huge bed sharing kink, whether they're brothers or not. We both do. And it ends up in every single one of our fics...Always. :)

I just had to put that in there. ...I'm out.

Lol...okay, okay, I admit it. My name is Zara-Zee and I have a bed-sharing kink...just like my friend 9tiptoes...
It's true...whether platonically or otherwise, whenever we write, Sam and Dean just always seem to end up in bed together at some point...

I was pretty shocked that Sam was Gordon's right hand man! And so tough at just 14, but that's not surprising considering the hard life him and Dean led. I love that Sam attended school for a while, that Dean ran a counterfeiting operation - proof that he's smart as well as handy with his fists and pretty! - and that they had their own clean. tidy home, where they still share a bed for comfort.

I was worried about Sam going off with Gordon, for him and for Dean, as Sam seemed to keep Alastair at bay. I liked Jo turning up at Dean's and giving him a talking to, but I was worried about her involving Dean in any job that involved Alastair.

I hope the time jump wasn't too disconcerting here! Dean is certainly smart as well as a good fighter and sexy as anything and I definitely wanted to show that. :) You were wise to worry about Sam going off with Gordon...no good came of it, that's for sure!

No, the time jump worked really well, and was necessary to see how they'd grown into their roles in The Unholy Trinity.
