2015 starts

I have basically spent this year, so far, with no voice to speak of (if you'll pardon the pun) Around about the 30th December I got a sore throat, and a snotty cold developed form there. I'm pretty much over the snot now, but the voice is getting, if anything, worse. Not much fun when you are trying to organise stuff over the phone. But we'll get

Where are you looking at houses? Anywhere fun?

I wouldn't call it fun per se. We are moving to the Falkirk area because it's halfway between Glasgow and Edinburgh, so we can both get to work in a reasonable amount of time. We are moving to a house so we can finally have enough space for our space hungry hobbies - and so we can actually have a place to put people up when they come visit! It's where I come from, and my folks are still there, so it will be useful to be closer to them as the years go by.

I'm not at the point where I want to be too much nearer my folks! I'm glad my brother lives near them, because they're both in their 70s and will undoubtedly need more support as time goes on, but I like being a few hours drive away.

I'm fortunate that my family are very good at not being in each others pockets. As it is we live only half an hour away and I usually only see them once a month or so.
