Snagged from several people on my flist:

Go to the closest book to you. Turn to page 206. The first sentence explains your love life."

Present a loaf from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor. The book closest to me is my Bible. This is Numbers 15:22 in the New International Version.  I'm deeply ( Read more... )

We got a dusting (our first) but tomorrow's high is a balmy 10F. Nothing like going from the high 40s to almost single digits.

I just shoveled the front walk and the deck. It's light fluffy snow (I couldn't make it pack into a snow ball) but it was still a fair amount of work to clear off!

It does seem like there should be snow if it's going to be this cold!

It's 3f/-16c with windchill at ~-20. And snowing. I do like the snow, but at least in the PNW the weather killing me was a much more remote possibility!

The book nearest me is Musicophilia by Oliver Sachs. The first sentence on p. 206 (continuing from p. 205) is:

As the months passed without any real improvement, the hope for significant recovery became fainter and fainter, and towards the end of 1958 Clive was moved to a room in a chronic psychiatric unit -- a room he was to occupy for the next six and a half years, but which he was never able to recognize as his own.

The following sentence is equally dire. Geez, meme, it can't be as bad as all that. ;)

I just realized that I didn't reply to this; I'm so sorry! Things have been pretty busy in real life. But I do like your page. It fits the concept even less than mine did!

That's alright. Lately I've been reading to skip=lots on my flist, making a few comments, and then disappearing for a week or two again. I don't necessarily expect people to reply to comments on really old threads... like this one. :)
