interesting new series-- i'm not for second gen things but it worked with star trek -- i hope it's as good as the original.

now can she be a kaoru who is canon manga/anime and not like the limp dishrag kaoru of seisouhen?

I'm not expecting the live-action to be terribly loyal to the manga but it'd be nice if they could characterize everyone properly at least. I watched a few videos with Takei Emi and I think she's more likely to have been chosen because she can play the part of a spirited girl...at least I'm hoping it's so..
