Interesting that the current understanding of your many years of self-reflection have led you to 3 categories of relationship that seem somewhat similar to the Greek definitions of "3 types of love": agape, philos, and eros. I suppose there's a reason the 3 types have endured in their triune form for so long.

What I've found intriguing is the surprising fluidity with which the majority of people in my life move between the categories or even out of them all together. It is suggested that past a certain age a person tends to be set in their ways, which I find generally true. But not so the nature of their relationships with others. Time, distance, and events change our view of a person even if inside they are still the same being.

There are of course a few people who remain in my love regardless of what happens; my husband, my family, my very close friends, and likely my children when I have them. :) I suppose these are the ones who fall into the "agape" category.
