Bluetooth types?

My dad's found this Motorola bluetooth headphones. I wish to use it with my computer. Reviews on Amazon say that I have to have A2DP on my computer, or Bluetooth 1.2 in order for them to work in stereo.

I have a MacBook and it says I have "Apple Bluetooth Software Version: 1.9.5f4". Will it work?

I think you're going to have problems if you don't have Leopard. There are some third-party plug-ins and/or hardware you can use to get A2DP working if you still use Tiger (like I do) or earlier, but it's non-trivial.

Maybe they backported it, but I haven't heard anything.

Yeah, none of my friends nearby have a copy for me to steal, so I'm still on the old stuff. Hm. :-\ Do you happen to know much about the relevant third-party plugins?

This solution is as recent as September 2007, but even after you get it installed, you need to use a terminal command every time you want to utilize it ( ... )

This one is only a little more expensive and has a much better range.
