My Square Foot Painting

Just came back a few hours ago from Toronto to drop off my painting for the Square Foot Show. It was quite the ordeal getting to the gallery, what with all the delays with the subway and street cars, but dropping off my painting at the gallery was as painless as it could possibly be. Wow, that turned out fantastic! I love the textures and the almost rusted patina-like effect it has, it's like some bizarre crystalline/metallic masquerade mask thing ...

Doooh I wish I knew about this event. I wanna submit something for it next year :D

Thank ya maiji! :D I've never heard the word "patina" before, so after looking it up, I can definitely agree with you there. Perhaps for my next one, I can experiment more with that effect and make it more intentional! After you mentioned the masquerade mask, I could totally see it! XD

I'm not sure, and I'm leaning more towards not going. I think I'll leave the rest of the year free of preparing for conventions and events such as this and devote it solely towards creating new art. :)
