I liked Eragon. But they should either have done more character development or less. Not this silly in between thing. It was an odd mixture of slow and fast.
Of course, I haven't read the book.

The dragon was well done. I was impressed. It was better than most I've seen.
Plus, she looked like a cat when she was little and, really, I'm weak when it comes to cats.

I agree. They kept starting to develop things, but not following through. Like when they do the swordfighting bit, and the old pro easily defeats the young and overconfident one, but that's it. They don't go on to train the young one or anything.
