I will be seeing this movie. I however will be going into with no expectations, and the idea that it is COMPLETELY SEPERATE from the books. because otherwise I will probably cry with disappointment.
...Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm telling myself too.
But there is another part of me that desperately hopes there's good Homer/Fi in the movies, because that part of me wants to make fanvids of Homer/Fi. Ridiculously cute ones, using footage of things like the girls repacking Fi's rucksack (No Fi, you can't have a pillow and a dressing gown!), Homer being all urrrgh and Homerish at school (Greek Roulette!), Homer teaching Fi how to shoot, Fi blowing shit up and running away, hand in hand with Homer...
I love my wee terrorists.
Shit, I've only just now been reminded how fucking hard I've always shipped Homer and Fi. This is like Calvin/Meg levels of "this is my childhood" shipping.
Also, all that sort of thing had better be in the movie. If they leave out repacking Fi's bag (It's a pretty vital early characterisation of Fi)... there will be much grinding of teeth.
