Title: Hospital Pairing: Ginny/Luna Rating: G Word Count: 644 Summary: Maybe that's what she needs to hear. Note: The title comes from Zach Williams' Hospital.
This is so beautiful, and so heartbreaking. Poor Luna, it seems like she's always waiting for her Ginny. So sad.
The last couple of paragraphs especially made me very weepy :(
Hey you <3 It's so lovely to see you around again. I hope you've had a fabulous Christmas. (And I'm sorry this is a bit of a rubbish comment. I have flu and am finding it hard to focus on anything right now :().
"And I have waited, the anticipation's got me glued."
I've been meaning to write you back, but school seems to have gone up in flames with all the work I've been given. This is an illegitimate excuse of course, but I do plan on writing back asap :) I hope your new year is going well!
It's a totally legitimate excuse! Sometimes life just gets ridiculously busy, and everything just seems to run away from you. These things happen :) I'll look forward to hearing from you, but don't stress if it takes a little while. I hope the school work's going well, and that the start of the year has been good for you! (Mine started off a bit disastrously, but I like to think that I got the icky stuff out of the way first :D).
(BTW, I realised recently that I forgot to attach the photo that I mentioned to that last email I sent you. So if you read the mail and then wondered why there wasn't a picture, it was just me being absent-minded :D )
She should be mad at Ginny for neglecting her, and she knows she should, but as you said, she "stepped aside and let her through because that's what you did; you never resisted Ginny."
My favorite part is when Ginny says she's coming back and the reader feels a relief, sees a happy ending. And just as it seems everything will end up ok, it's revealed to be an empty promise.
Thanks for the lovely comment! I suppose I always want Luna to feel the way I feel, since I just adore Luna as a character so much. So I always try to relate this couple to my life, since it can be bent to be just so similar.
Well with that perspective I guess I can say your situation is heartbreaking...you know I've always heard good fiction doesn't draw too much on personal experiences but you seem to make it work.
This was so heavy with emotion. You really brought the reader inside the situation. You did a great job with keeping pov and your writing was beautiful. It left me heartbroken because I love these two together. Excellent job. Thanks for writing and sharing.
