Very interesting. I'm really curious at the story - triangle? situation? - between Hermione, Ginny, and Luna.

I like the description of the despair Hermione's sunk into, very angsty.

In my head, Hermione and Ginny were lovers, very intensely so, and then Ginny left. You can decide why, I actually don't have a definite reason. Luna is simply Hermione's friend, one that helps her out of this hole she's dug herself into.

That last line brought tears to my eyes. It's simple, but perfect, and sad and hopeful at the same time. Beautiful.

The whole story is beautiful, it's a very plausible evocation of deep depression and sadness, and the thought that Hermione has been alone for so long, and that Ginny just left, is heartbreaking. But the way you tell it still makes it rather wonderful ♥

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to catch up on this, but I'm glad I did, in the end.

I'm glad you found it plausible :) It probably isn't in many aspects, given Hermione's character, but then again, we're all weak at some point.

This was hard to understand at first, but then I began to see it as a sliver of time, one of your moments :), and I began to understand it better. Like you said in an earlier comment, we're not supposed to know why Ginny left or why Luna's the one been waiting to take hermione 'home'. We're just supposed to see a glimpse of an era of pain for her, and it just happens to be the tail end. I dunno if that makes sense...I just typed out my "logic" as it came to me haha.
One thing I didn't like though was that it was Hermione stuck in this. I feel like it would have made more sense to be Hermione leaving Ginny, since..I guess I just see Ginny as more likely to feel the same thing for years and Hermione as more proactive.
Favorite line: "Hermione asked with her eyes, for she couldn’t ask with her voice, but Luna understood; she always understood.", not sure why.

That's about it I suppose. Do you have any suggestions for more fanfics like yours I could enjoy? (But only if they're up to your caliber :] )

Your logic makes perfect sense, and it's actually precisely what I was going for! I'm glad you were able to see it, even if it took a bit :)

I agree with your characterization disputes, but I, however, relate more with Hermione sometimes than I do with Ginny, and in the situation in my RL that I was referring to within this piece, Ginny more closely resembles someone else and I more closely resemble Hermione... So I changed their characters just the slighest to fit the criteria.
I'm so happy you liked that line; it's just to show that Luna is always there, no matter what.
