Holy crap. Reading this reminded me that I used to be a hard core H/G shipper up until about the 4th book. But I really liked this. I loved what you have doen with it. I am SO sorry it is takling me forever and a day to get your prompt in. I haven't been able to think of anythign, so I finally decided to write the sequel to Home Sacrificed, and that started my juices flowing. Hopefully I can finish it tonight, if not tomorrow.

I have a couple of stories on Fanfiction.net that are H/G because I shipped them. The primary reason why I don't like them anymore was because I got too annoyed with the Cho Chang angst, and even in the sixth book I wanted to slap Harry around a bit. then I got really into femslash and hardly looked back. My het OTP is now Neville/Luna, and my slash OTP is Draco/Ron, Ron/Neville or Draco/Neville, though I haven't read much slash or het lately. Oh, and the story is now up.

I understand it's always harder to see the good in your own work, but even so that's very harsh, especially for such a lovely little piece.

I really am just not happy with it, to be honest. I can't bring myself to like it. Normally I'm fine with drabbles because I use them to make me stop feeling a certain way but looking back on this now, it just bothers me.
